Gerald R. Colley Named President of EOG Resources, Inc. International Operations

HOUSTON – EOG Resources, Inc. today announced the appointment of Gerald R. Colley as president of EOG Resources International, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of EOG Resources, Inc. In addition, Colley was named Vice President and General Manager – International Division, EOG Resources, Inc. Colley will oversee EOG Resources’ international exploration and production activities and have responsibility for identifying and capturing new international concessions.

“The addition of Gerald to the EOG Resources management team reflects our commitment to expanding operations internationally,” Mark Papa, Chairman and CEO said. “Gerald brings technical expertise and industry knowledge that will be critical to EOG Resources’ success in the international arena.”

Colley, 48, most recently served as Senior Vice President, International at Seagull Energy Corporation that was recently acquired by Ocean Energy. Seagull acquired the majority of its international portfolio from Global Natural Resources in 1996, where Gerald, as Senior Vice President of the international division was instrumental in capturing a number of international concessions including Egypt and the Cote d’Ivoire in West Africa.

Colley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in geology from the University of Exeter, England and a Master’s Degree in geophysics from the University of Durham, England. He has worked in the exploration and production industry since 1973.
